This page answers everything we get asked, in full. If yours is not here, email info@pre-ski.com and we will answer it, then add it to this page.
PRE-SKI is an online course that gets you ready for a ski trip before you go. Every week typically has three physical sessions and one mental session, with every exercise coached on video by Sam, a professional ski instructor, with Eric and Kyle supporting. You do it at home, in your own time.
Anyone with a ski trip ahead of them, complete beginners and people who have skied for years. We build for six groups:
The courses start where you are and build from there.
No. Foundation is a 4 week pre-fitness course built for people starting from nothing at all, totally unfit, or if you have never stepped into a gym. If you are already active, you can skip Foundation and begin on Preparation.
Then this is the right place to start. Foundation and Preparation cover the fitness, the mental preparation and the kit knowledge, so you arrive knowing what happens and what you need. You then spend your lesson time out there learning to ski.
Yes. Progression is the advanced 8 week course, built for skiers pushing into harder terrain and longer days. It works on strength, balance and agility, with a Mind Ready session each week for the moments when the run looks steeper than the piste map promised.
Start anyway. Six weeks of around three sessions a week changes how your legs feel on day three of the holiday, which is where most people fall apart.
Your access runs for twelve months from purchase, so you can keep going long after you get back. That puts you further ahead again for the next trip.
Typically four sessions: three physical, plus one Mind Ready mental session. There is also a short multiple choice Check quiz at the end of each week, which takes a couple of minutes. You pick the days and the time of day that suit you.
No. Everything works with your own bodyweight in the space you already have at home. Nothing to buy, no gym membership, no kit.
We have courses built for teenagers and for adults of every age. Families with younger children should be supervised while exercising.
The programme is general preparation and of course we are not qualified to give medical advice. If you have a health condition, an injury or a specific need, check with your doctor or a medical professional before you start. Parents should do the same for a child with a condition or an injury.
Online access to the course or courses you buy. Each week typically gives you three physical sessions, one Mind Ready mental session and a short Check quiz, with every exercise coached on video by Sam, a professional ski instructor, with Eric and Kyle supporting. You also get the full exercise dictionary.
On Full Programme Premium Supported you get everything in the Full Programme, plus the Premium pack: Premium Skill Sheets for every exercise, the Parent and Guardian Guide, the Skiing Lingo Guide, the progress wall chart, the Mind Ready journal, warm-up and cool-down cards and the kit checklist.
The Premium pack also carries multi-language and SEND options, so nobody on the trip is left out.
There is no ongoing coaching or one-to-one support. The Premium pack is material we have written and designed for you, and it is yours from the day you buy.
The secure checkout sends an email receipt. At the top of that receipt is a blue banner, and that banner is your registration link. Click it, choose a password, and you land on your My Courses page.
From there you click Start Course, then Go To Lesson, and you are training. Your login is the email address you bought with plus the password you chose.
Once you are in, there is an Account menu for changing your password or your email address, and a My Worksheets area for your sheets.
Typically three physical sessions, with Sam on video and Eric and Kyle supporting. One Mind Ready session on the mental side. Then a short multiple choice Check quiz to confirm the week has landed.
Mind Ready is the mental session in each week of every course. It works on confidence, self-talk and decision making, for the moments on the mountain that catch people out. It is the part people tell us they feel first.
A full reference of every exercise in the programme, each one demonstrated on video. If you forget how a movement goes, or want to check your form before you repeat it, you look it up there. It stays available for the whole of your access period.
A short multiple choice quiz at the end of each week. It takes a couple of minutes and helps you take in what the week covered. Passing the weekly checks is part of completing the course.
Twelve months from the day you buy. If you finish the course sooner, it stays open for the rest of those twelve months, so you can go back through anything you want.
Yes. The whole thing works on a phone, a tablet or a computer, and most people use a phone. You log in with the same email address and password on any device.
The login page has a Forgot Password link on it. Click that link and a password reset email arrives.
You can also change your password at any time once you are logged in. Go to the Account menu, then Profile Settings, then Change Password.
It is a guide written to help, and covers all the key questions you might want to ask. Teachers and parents ask us the same things every year, and the guide answers all of it in one place, so nobody has to ring the school or wade through forums to find out what happens.
It comes as a PDF in the Full Programme Premium Supported pack, and every link inside it comes straight back here to the site.
Parents say no to ski trips for different reasons, two of them being fear of the unknown, or a belief their child is not sporty enough to go. The guide gives them the information and the reassurance that can turn a no into a yes.
It answers the questions parents actually ask. What does my child need? What will happen? Is it safe? What if something goes wrong? Are they ready?
So there is no need to second guess, wade through misinformation or contact the school looking for answers. More confident parents mean more sign-ups to the trip and fewer, if any, empty places.
PRE-SKI exists so no child gets told no because the parents do not know enough to say yes.
It carries multi-language and SEND options.
If your school has signed up, your teacher sends every family a free version of the guide as part of the teachers pack. It covers the basics and points you back to this page for the rest.
The complete guide comes with the Premium Supported package, which is £99 rather than £149 with your school’s code.
It is one guide with a School Trip section inside it. That way a parent with a school trip this year and a family trip next year keeps the same document, and nothing goes out of date.
Foundation plus Preparation is £59, which is the 4 week pre-fitness course and the main 8 week course together. Progression on its own is £59, the advanced 8 week course. The Full Programme is all three courses for £99 (£118 buying them separately, a saving of 15 per cent).
Full Programme Premium Supported is £149. It is everything in the Full Programme, plus the Premium pack. Families at a school that has signed up pay £99 for it with their school code. Groups can use a discount code.
If you are new to skiing, or starting from low or no fitness, take Foundation plus Preparation. If you already ski and want to push on, take Progression. If you want all of it, take the Full Programme or Premium Supported for best value.
If you would rather be advised, the course finder asks a few questions and points you at the right one in about 60 seconds.
In seconds using Google Pay or Apple Pay, or by card or PayPal, at the secure checkout. Payment is taken once, upfront, and your access opens immediately.
Card payments show as PRE-SKI.COM. PayPal payments appear as BGPDIGITAL, so that is the one to look for if you paid that way.
PayPal Pay in 3 is available to some buyers on eligible baskets, and you choose it at the PayPal step of the checkout. PayPal collects the instalments from you. Your access opens the same as any other payment.
Yes. PayPal sits alongside card at the checkout, and PayPal is where Pay in 3 lives, subject to status and availability, if you want to spread the cost. Remember that PayPal payments show as BGPDIGITAL on your statement.
The price on the checkout page is the price you pay, and it includes VAT where VAT applies. Nothing gets added at the end.
A code we give to a school that has signed up with PRE-SKI. Families at that school enter it at the checkout and pay £99 for the Full Programme Premium Supported instead of £149. Ask your trip organiser or the school office for it.
Send them the page for teachers and trip organisers. The form takes about two minutes, there is nothing for the school to pay and nothing for the school to run.
Once they have signed up, every family at that school gets the £99 price, and the school fund receives a goodwill donation from PRE-SKI.
Teachers on the trip and pupil premium pupils going on the trip get the full Premium Supported package free. PRE-SKI funds it, at no cost to the school.
Your school gives you your own single use code for this, which is a different code from the school code everyone else uses. You check out at £0.00, with a card entered so we know an adult is signing up. Ask your trip organiser for it.
Yes. Use PRESKI-25OFF at checkout and everyone gets 25% off Full Programme Premium Supported, which is £111.75 each rather than £149.
Everyone books their own place with the same code, one place each. It works for families, groups of friends, university trips, clubs and anyone heading out with somebody else.
The code is for bookings of two or more, so it is not valid on a single booking. It is not for school trips either, where the school code gives a bigger saving at £99.
One code per checkout. If you have been given a single use free place code, use that one, because it covers the whole cost.
Complete the course, and if you are not stronger, fitter and better prepared, you get a full refund. It sits on top of your legal rights and takes nothing away from them.
Every week, every session, every weekly check. The guarantee is about doing the programme, because the programme is what produces the result. How the guarantee works covers it in full.
The claim window opens once you have completed the full course, and you then have 14 days to claim. Everything happens on the refund claim form.
The form asks what did not work, and asks you to upload one thing: a short video of you doing an exercise from the final week of your course. We check that you completed the course ourselves, from your account, so there is nothing else for you to send.
We reply within five working days and the refund goes back to the card or account you paid with.
No. The money goes back to the card or account you paid with, and your access to the course closes at the same time, so your login will no longer open it.
This applies to any refund, not only a guarantee claim.
Because the guarantee is a promise about the work. We can see your progress from our side. What we cannot see is whether the movements were actually done. 30 seconds on a phone settles it.
Pick a harder exercise from the last week of whichever course you bought. Week 4 on Foundation, week 8 on Preparation or Progression.
If something practical stopped you finishing, a lost login, an injury, a week that would not unlock, email us instead of claiming. We fix those and you keep the course.
Digital content you can use straight away works differently from a physical order. At the checkout you ask us to start supplying the course immediately, and in exchange for that instant access you give up the 14 day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You confirm this at the checkout.
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected, and our own money back guarantee still applies afterwards. The full wording is in the course terms.
You can pay the difference rather than the full price again. Add Progression, £40, which takes Foundation plus Preparation up to the Full Programme. Add Premium Support, £50, which takes the Full Programme up to Full Programme Premium Supported.
Email info@pre-ski.com and we will send you the link.
No. A course is for one person’s personal use. Courses are individual and not designed to be shared. Sharing doesn’t work on the course platform, and it invalidates the certificate and any guarantee.
The practical reason sits underneath the rule. The progress, the weekly checks and the certificate all belong to one person, so two people working through one account leaves neither of them with a real record of what they did. Each person needs their own course.
Complete our main course Preparation and pass a short readiness check and you earn the PRE-SKI certificate. It shows the preparation was completed. It is earned and it can’t be bought, and it is separate from the money back guarantee.
It shows the preparation was completed. It is, of course, not a guarantee of safety on the slopes, and nothing and no one can offer that guarantee.
Fill in the form on the teachers page, which takes about two minutes. Back comes your school’s PRE-SKI code, the explainer email for parents, a one-page guide for your newsletter and the free Q and A guide for every pupil on the trip. You pass the code on to parents, and that is the job done.
Yes. The school collects no money, handles no parent data, signs no sales agreement and does no admin at all. Parents buy directly from PRE-SKI using the code.
PRE-SKI makes a goodwill donation to your school fund. We decide the amount and we review it each season. It is not a commission, a share of sales, or anything calculated per pupil, which is exactly why it sits comfortably with bursars, finance teams and auditors.
The donation arrives with no restrictions on how you spend it. Books, equipment, sports kit, a new roof, whatever the school needs.
Pupil premium pupils going on the trip get the full Premium Supported package free, funded by PRE-SKI at no cost to the school. Teachers on the trip get the same. Both get their own single use code rather than the school code.
Content is available with SEND options and in multiple languages. Every pupil on the trip at a signed up school also gets the PRE-SKI Starter Guide free, whether their family buys a course or not, direct from their school. It is the short version. The full Parent and Guardian Guide comes with Premium Supported.
Use the explainer email we send you. It says everything a parent needs.
Their child arrives fitter, so they last the whole week rather than fading on day two. More confident, because a Mind Ready session every week works on nerves and self-talk. And they know what kit they need and how a boot should feel, because bad boots ruin more first trips than anything else. They finish with a PRE-SKI certificate.
Then the practical part. It is done at home, typically three sessions a week, no gym and no equipment. The school code takes it from £149 to £99, a £50 saving. Pupil premium pupils and teachers go free. And the school fund receives a goodwill donation from PRE-SKI.
Point parents at the page for parents if they want the detail, and at this page for their questions.
The form takes about two minutes and everything arrives by email. There is nothing to install, nothing to pay and nothing to schedule.
No. No money passes through the school and nobody there ever handles a payment, because parents buy directly from us.
We also do not tell the school who bought. Names, email addresses and order details stay with us. If you ask how it is going, we will tell you how many pupils on the trip have signed up, and nothing beyond that.
One payment, after the trip, at the end of the season, straight into the school fund.
We do it that way deliberately. The donation is not a commission and it is not worked out per pupil, so paying it once, after the event, keeps it plainly a goodwill donation rather than anything that looks like a rate. That is what makes it easy for a bursar or a finance office to accept.
We confirm the amount with each school directly.
If you take the course finder quiz, we ask for your email address and your answers about your trip, your experience and your starting fitness, so we can send you the right recommendation.
If you buy, we take your name, email address, billing address, what you bought, and your school code if you used one. Card details go straight to the payment providers and never reach us.
No, we keep nothing about your child. We never ask for their age or their email address, and children do not have their own logins with us. The account belongs to the adult who buys it, and one account covers one pupil.
There is one place a name is typed in. At the very end, when the certificate is claimed, we ask for the name to print on it. We use it to make the certificate, we email that certificate to your account address, and we do not keep the name.
Quiz entries from people who never buy are kept for 24 months, then deleted. That covers two ski seasons, so if you enquire one year and book the next, we still know what you needed.
Customer records are kept for as long as you have access, then for six years after that, because HMRC requires business records to be kept that long. Marketing list entries stay until you unsubscribe.
No. We do not sell your data to anyone and we do not share it with advertisers. We use a small number of suppliers to run the business, and they act only on our instructions.
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link and one click is enough. To be deleted, or to see what we hold, email info@pre-ski.com and we will respond within one month, free of charge. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Email info@pre-ski.com and we will answer you. If you asked it, someone else is wondering the same thing, so we will add it to this page as well.
Teachers and trip organisers: sign your school up using the form on the teachers page.
